Taking on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing

It was a crisp Sunday morning at Tongariro National Park.  I was up early to catch my transfer bus to the carpark at the start of the one day tramp across the Tongariro Pass.

Before I hopped on the bus I started a conversation with a fellow countryman from Cork.   Continue reading Taking on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing

San Marino: Day 15 of 17 Show me the way to go

Macedonia: Day 10 of 17 Operation massive recovery in Skopje

The Sunday morning recovery has started.  I feel like shit and I can smell the feet.  I drag myself out of bed and chat with the Aussie guy who is also staying in my room.  He’s from Perth, but is studying in Sweden, so is making the most of his weekends to see Europe.
