Day 16 of 17: Genoa a good place for a drink?

In the morning I speak briefly to Win and then she leaves before me.  I Look at the very limited free breakfast and decide a cup of tea will be enough for me.  My bus to get me back to Rimini leaves at 1030am.  I ask the guy in the Hostel San Marino to point to the bus stop so that I find it quickly.  I start to get a bit worried when the bus doesn’t show after 15 minutes.  A few minutes later I am happy to get on it.  It’s got quite a few locals on it (Russians).  We get to the train station on time which is good news for me as I want to go to the cash machine again. Day 13 of 17: I can’t get no sleep

At 0330 I think everyone in the hostel was woken by a very noisy and drunk group of 32 who are staying here.  I don’t mind this if it only goes on for a few minutes, but this lasted almost an hour.  Then to add to that the person sleeping below me arrived.  Some ex military US fella.  He was hammered, and although not too noisy added to the problems getting sleep.  And to boot the Danish old man woke a few times in the night sounding like he was about to die clearing this throat. Day 10 of 17: Operation massive recovery in Skopje

The Sunday morning recovery has started.  I feel like shit and I can sell the feet.  I drag myself out of bed and chat with the Aussie guy who is also staying in my room.  He’s from Perth, but is studying in Sweden, so is making the most of his weekends to see Europe. Continue reading

Day 9 of 17: The road from Kosovo to Macedonia

I’m ready to get on another bus or two to get to Macedonia where I’ll meet up with Ryan.  My friend Ciaran’s nephew.  I am very glad of this as I haven’t got a clue what to expect in Skopje.  But first it’s time for some pictures again.  Myself, Uly and Florian have breakfast together in the hostel.  We then grab our cameras and head for the castle on the hill.  It’s a steep trek up there, but well worth it for the amazing views across Prizren.  I am in a bit of a rush as my bus to Pristina leaves at 1pm.  I take my pictures and say goodbye to my German friends. Day 3 of 17: The wheels on the bus go up and down

So it’s time to go back to Bucharest and I’m really hoping that it’s going to be a nice bus like the one on the way up here.  I get up at 8am and discover that the guy on reception isn’t around so I won’t be getting the 9am bus.  I decide to use the time to go out and take a few photos of the city as it’s a nice sunny morning.
